Services - Nursing

Provides patient case management, skilled nursing observation and assessment, provides education related to diagnoses and medications. Service variety includes; home IV therapy, Home Telehealth, Chronic Disease Management team, Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse, and PRI/Screen assessments.

We employ 40 full-time equivalent RN's and three LPN's.

Meet our Nursing Supervisory staff


Janet Martin, SCHN Intake and Admission Team Coordinator/Nursing Supervisor, with the VNA since 1976. She manages the admission team and coordinates the referral and intake process.	Maura Chudy, SCHN Nursing Supervisor, with the VNA since 1988. She supervises and manages the Rome office.	Norma Swartout, RN Nursing Supervisor, with the VNA since 1995. She supervises and manages a team of nurses.

Jeanne Gymburch, SCHN Staff Development /Nursing Supervisor, with the VNA since 1982. She is responsible for orientation and assists staff in maintaining high levels of nursing knowledge.	Melissa Hanno, SCHN Home Health Aide Supervisor/Nursing Supervisor, with the VNA since 1974. She supervises 80 home health care aides who provide care throughout Oneida County.	Denise Giglio, SCHN Privacy and Compliance Officer, ensures the confidentiality of all patient records and information.
